Area code 800 is a toll-free prefix rather than a fixed geographic exchange, so a call from it can originate anywhere in the country; this page currently lists 196 numbers with enough reported complaints to appear here. Reported complaints here skew toward "Other" and other miscellaneous robocall categories rather than one well-defined scheme. Complaint volume has fallen since earlier in the trailing 12 months, suggesting whatever drove the earlier spike has since eased.
